Hello dear friends,
it’s no secret that there’s a very unfriendly pandemic around, creeping from house to house, from event to event, from person to person.
Even though we tend to sing songs about rather melancholic and negative perspectives, we would describe ourselves as very optimistic when it comes to booking live shows and events for the near future. And that’s cause we like to spread hope, love and trust.
As the October turned into a representative month for what is called ‚the second wave‘ and countries started to restrict many parts of society again, we obviously asked ourselves if it is the right thing to do to play the CultureCast live stream show on November 20th and all the events we planned around this time.
We put our heads together and discussed this for quite a while and came to the conclusion that we didn’t feel well seeing a whole country, continent and many parts oft he world doing everything they can to kill the virus and still pull through with the show where risk factors can not be fully eliminated.
We are so sorry for all the people who bought tickets for the show or just waited patiently for the live stream to go online. We are so sorry that we can’t serve you the promised entertainment, but maybe this can be one light more showing how important and vulnerable this scene is. We will try to reschedule the show as soon as possible.
We won’t take a nap over the winter, we will work harder than ever and we will win this fight.

CULTURE CAST – KID DAD & FORKUPINES
Einlass 19:00 und ab 20:00 startet die Show und der Livestream!
KID DAD: Wie geht es eigentlich Schrödingers Katze? Die sitzt da in ihrer Kiste, ist gleichzeitig lebendig und tot, und weiß eigentlich gar nicht, wie ihr geschieht. Der erste Reflex, wenn man sich vorstellt, allein in so einer Kiste eingesperrt zu sein, ist für viele wohl Angst - vor dem Alleinesein, vor der Enge, vor der Stille. Doch was wäre, wenn einem diese Isolation, diese vier Wände und die damit einhergehende Simplizität der Dinge eigentlich ganz gelegen käme? Wenn man sich nach eben dieser Abgeschiedenheit sehnt, und einfach mal in Ruhe nachdenken und in sich reinfühlen will.
Gegründet im Mai 2011, haben FORKUPINES aus Braunschweig nach mehreren selbstveröffentlichten EPs 2017 ihr Debütalbum "Here, Away From" und 2020 den Nachfolger "Islands" über Midsummer Records veröffentlicht, und waren seitdem mit Bands wie Adam Angst, Stiff Little Fingers, The Ataris, Smile And Burn und ZSK und beim WDR Rockpalast auf großen und kleinen Bühnen. Früh beeinflusst durch den Pop-Punk und das Emo-Revival der späten 2000er-Jahre, wird die Musik des Trios zusammen mit ihnen stetig erwachsener.

SICHERHEITSHINWEISE: Bei den Konzerten werden sowohl höchste hygienische Standards eingehalten, als auch Anwesenheits- und Kontaktlisten von allen Beteiligten und Gästen geführt. Es werden auch die vom Robert-Koch-Institut vorgeschlagenen Sicherheitsabstände von 1,5 Metern eingehalten und das Team auf ein Minimum beschränkt. Das komplette Equipment inkl. Mikrofonen und Amps werden doppelt bereitgestellt. Die Oberflächen und Toiletten werden werden regelmäßig gereinigt und desinfiziert.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS: During the concerts, the highest hygienic standards are observed and attendance and contact lists are kept by all participants and guests. The safety distances of 1.5 meters suggested by the Robert Koch Institute are also observed and the team is kept to a minimum. The complete equipment including microphones and amps is provided in duplicate. The surfaces and toilets are cleaned and disinfected regularly.
