Hope the day is treating you well so far ☺️
I have some unfortunate but probably not very surprising news ….
Sadly , due to the uncertainty surrounding the corona virus we are having to postpone our Uk , European and North American tour dates until next year .
Its been really difficult to navigate this and we’ve waited as long as possible before making the switch . it breaks my heart to have to move these shows but I think it’s the only sensible thing we can do at this point .
the bottom line is and always will be people’s safety and comfort at my gigs and we just can’t guarantee either at this time 😔
I’m so sorry for everybody that has a ticket and especially to those of you that have made travel / accommodation plans …. It sucks . Your ticket will of course be valid for the rescheduled show.
So here is a basic run down of what’s going on ….
AUSTRALIA / NEW ZEALAND - we are keeping the dates in January next year as planned - you guys will just be at the start of the tour instead of the end of it so all good there 👍
UK and IRELAND - we are moving the dates from august / September of this year to February ‘21
Two things to mention are that we’ve added a Nottingham show at Rock city and also one in Bristol at the O2 Academy for those of you in the south west . Other than that all cities and venues remain the same .
EUROPE - we will now be coming to see you all in march 2021 instead of this coming September - again please see poster below for details . The only venue change is Prague where we will be playing The Roxy as opposed to Lucerna Velky sal
Other than that all cities and venues remain the same .
NORTH AMERICA - we are working on the final details but it is looking very likely that the dates will be moved from October of this year to April of next . We will get specific details to you as soon as we have them . Thank you so much for your patience ☺️
I’m so sorry that it has come to this but who knows , perhaps as a result this will be the best tour ever …. I know I’m certainly going to appreciate it in a completely new way .

PASSENGER
Seit seinem Debütalbum „Wicked Man’s Rest“ im Jahr 2007 ist Passenger einen weiten Weg gegangen. Damals waren Passenger noch eine Band rund um den Songwriter namens Mike Rosenberg. Aber irgendwann hat der Straßenmusiker einen Schlussstrich gezogen, das Pseudonym selbst als Solokünstler übernommen und sich auf die Reise begeben.
Der gebürtige Engländer ist hauptsächlich durch Australien und Neuseeland gezogen und hat sich auf jeden Marktplatz, an jede Straßenecke gestellt und seine Songs zum Besten gegeben. Er begegnete dem jungen Ed Sheeran und ging mit ihm schon auf Tour, als die Hallen noch längst nicht so groß waren wie heute. Und dann kam „Let Her Go“, der Hit, der den Ivor Novello Award gewann, mit dem Passenger zum Star wurde, mit dem er zwei Jahre ununterbrochen auf Tour war, der bis heute sagenhafte 2,6 Milliarden Mal bei Youtube aufgerufen wurde.
„Let Her Go“ hat alles verändert und doch wieder nicht. „Wenn Du auf der Straße spielst, bist Du ein Außenseiter“, sagt Rosenberg/Passenger heute, „als der Song dann so groß wurde, hat sich die Sicht der Leute auf mich verändert. Da war es keineswegs einfach, mir treu zu bleiben und an meinen Prinzipien festzuhalten. Wenn der Schneeball den Berg runterrollt, Fahrt aufnimmt, immer größer wird, wird es immer schwerer, ihn zu formen. Ich wollte einfach nicht zu etwas werden, was ich nicht sein wollte.“
Der Brite hat es geschafft: Er ist sich treu geblieben, weil er immer noch Songs schreibt, die ihn verkörpern. Oder wie er es selbst einmal formuliert hat: „Jedes Lied hat sein eigenes Leben.“ Dass er dabei mit einer Band genauso gut klingt wie solo, macht die Freude an der Musik noch größer. So ändert er auch auf jedem Album seine Arbeitsweise: 2018 erschien mit „Runaway“ eine Platte mit seiner Band zusammen, vergangenes Jahr folgte mit „Sometimes It’s Something, Sometimes It’s Nothing at All“ ein kammermusikalisches Werk, das Passenger mit akustischer Gitarre und einem Streichquartett aufgenommen hat. Dieses Wechselspiel macht seine Songs so aufregend, auf Platte und noch mehr live.
